CALL FOR RESUMES APPOINTED COMMITTEE MEMBER (ACM) Literature Services   December 2010   The Literature Services of Debtors Anonymous is requesting applications from members who are interested in becoming   Appointed Committee Members (ACM).  The requirements for becoming an ACM can be found in the GSR/ISR Manual which is available for download from the website, debtorsanonymous.org, under the "Service" tab.   ACM is an unpaid service position.   Some of the requirements to serve as an ACM in this position are: ·         Three years of not incurring any unsecured debt and two Pressure Relief Meetings ·         Active engagement in the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions ·         Knowledge of D.A. literature ·         Professional experience as a copy editor, proofreader, development editor, or writer ·         Availability for participation in the meeting of this committee via monthly conference call ·         The ability to work within the committee structure   Any GSB trustee, GSR, ISR, Board Committee, Conference Committee (including the Convocation), GSR group, intergroup, D.A. member group, D.A. member or collection thereof may nominate a recovering debtor for GSB Service.   The Literature Services asks nominees to provide the GSB with three (3) documents: 1.       A signed letter from the nominating person or group making the nomination and stating their knowledge of the nominee's experience in a service role or activity. 2.       A letter from the nominee stating his or her interest in GSB Service and that he or she meets the guidelines as described in the GSR/ISR Manual for an ACM. The specific requirements sought by Literature Services should be included in this letter. 3.       A biography of the nominee showing prior D.A. service, other Twelve Step service, and any qualifications or experience that may be helpful to the D.A.
